The Standard Element is a design and product development studio working in the fields of interiors and furniture.

Founded in 2023 by Tim Schröder, offered services range from conceptual design, prototyping, production preparation in collaboration with manufacturers, and quality control through to the implementation of the finished product. The studio offers customised solutions for single projects as well as product development for larger quantities.

Tim Schröder has studied industrial and product design in Kiel and Berlin, completing with a master's degree in 2021. He has since worked for design practices in Denmark, Hong Kong and Germany in both the interior architecture and the product sector.

His expertise ranges from early experiences in his first job as a cabinetmaker to the design of furniture, interior objects and outfittings, product development and the launch of the finished product on the market or implementation within a client's project.

Clients benefit from an extensive knowledge on materials, production techniques and processing methods as well as the aesthetic and cultural sensitivities combined with a practical skillset necessary to achieve the highest quality in terms of design and execution. The studio also offers a range of its own designs on a made-to-order basis as well as customised variants.
